There is a range of accommodation options near to the University of Applied Sciences and university institutes for students at Softwarepark Hagenberg. As well as the usual student halls, there are also lots of flatshares and flats for students.
The modern residential facilities which have been specially adapted to the needs of students are located directly in Softwarepark Hagenberg, in close proximity to the University of Applied Sciences.
The low-energy housing complexes consist of 8 apartments, each measuring 75 m² including a loggia. Each apartment consists of three rooms, a communication room with kitchen, bathroom, WC and covered loggia. It is ideal for student accommodation.
Built in 1996 and refurbished in 2011, the “I-House” as it is known, was Hagenberg’s first housing complex to offer an alternative to classic student housing; being divided into 16 three-person flats each measuring 65 m².
The building is part of the campus, in fact it’s close enough to get to the University of Applied Sciences without even getting wet in bad weather! Each flat has three equally sized rooms, a bathroom, toilet and a communal living and eating area and kitchen block.
The Hagenberg student halls are located next to the University of Applied Sciences and has 553 rooms. Both the single and double rooms as well as the small apartments are fully furnished and well equipped.
In addition to a music room, there is also a gym and various other sports and leisure facilities.
The 24 three-person apartments and 8 single apartments were designed in collaboration with the young architect team from Ottensheim, 2 in a Box. Each house has an outdoor ping pong table, a BBQ area and a party room for the residents to use.
The buildings have four storeys and a lift. The ideal location of the houses provides the residents with some peace and quiet. And it still only takes a few minutes to walk to the campus.
